Activities for the Last Quarter

Karaoke Session@NUSS Guild House
14 October 2005

After the runaway success of the APP idol competition in 2004, we realised there are so many talented singers in APP. Hence the Lifestyle committee took the opportunity to organise another karaoke session at the NUSS Guild House in Suntec City for them to showcase once again their powerful vocals.

The night started with dinner at the Guild House with a choice of Chinese, Western and French cuisine to choose from, after which we headed to the singing hall to sing to our hearts' content. We had a wild time singing, drinking, playing games, chatting and relaxing. Well, time really flies when you are having fun and we finally called it a night at 1 am.

Psss....Tittle Tattle of the day:

The happiest person on that day had to be Thomas Ang. While the rest of us were busy singing our throats sore and getting drunk, Lady luck found favours with him. You would not believe what I am going to tell you next. He striked the Jackpot on his first attempt! Amazing or what?
Some guys just have all the luck.....

Year End Dinner 2005@Indochine Waterfront
17 Dec 2005

Every year towards the year end, a hot topic on discussion would be where the event of the year, the APP Year End Dinner, would be held (The hottest topic is still speculating how much our bonus would be!). After much discussion, the lifestyle committee decided to have the event at IndoChine Waterfront, Bar Opiume, a posh wine bar with a spectacular view of the Singapore river.

EnlargeThe food spread for the night was a fusion of Vietnamese and Laos cusine, which was tantalizingly spicy and sweet. The emcee kicked off the event with various participative games and the one that captured everyone's attention was the human jackpot game. Our directors, Mr James Lee and Mr CP Lee were asked to donate cold, hard cash as the prize money and they gamely raised $200 for the fun of the game. With four blindfolded guys acting as the human jackpot (poor fellows!), everyone were invited to try their luck in getting the four "blind mice" on stage to do the same action to win the jackpot. The excitement level was high as the game went on, with due credit to Nagaraju, who amusingly lacked telepathy with the other three!

Other than the games, everyone was waiting in anticipation at their chance in winning the attractive lucky draw prizes. The top prize went to Mr Irwan Rizal (APP Indonesia), who won for himself a digital camcorder. The main event came to an end with disco and dance for those who wanted to party on, while others chilled out at the riverside with the smoothing music of the jazz band playing in the background. What a night to remember! Till next year!

Psss....Tittle Tattle of the day:

Casper was the "Fortune God" on that evening. When the 15th prize was about to be announced, he proclaimed that he would be the winner for that prize. Amazingly his number was called! When Casper came down from the stage, Dylan asked him to shout out his lucky draw number for the next prize. True enough, Dylan walked away with the 14th prize!
I must get him to buy the S$10 mil Toto for me.....
